Business Case
CMA was awarded a contract to provide business analysis, design, and implementation services for Oracle Applications 11.03, post-production support and maintenance, and a subsequent upgrade to Oracle Applications 11i.
The project required CMA to assist the SUNY Research Foundation in areas like implementing a data warehouse, and end user reporting solution using Oracle Business Intelligence. Additionally, the complex organizational needs of the client required the design of custom security.
The Solution
This solution required our assistance in implementing Financials Application Models in Core Financials, Projects, Grants, Human Resources, and Payroll. Additionally, we aided them in GAP analysis using the Oracle’s AIM methodology to map current process and requirements to Oracle Financials modules. As a result of GAP/FIT, we developed customizations for the client.
CMA assisted with Data Conversion and Interface design and development, as well as the configuration and Version control management. We provided DBA support for upgrade, patching and performance tuning and Single Sign-on. The solution required the implementation of Oracle Portal and design and development of custom project/grants inquiry application.
We also assisted in knowledge transfer of application support and DBA staff, along with the execution of various testing cycles, unit tests, integration, system and performance testing.
The Results
The Oracle Business Intelligence solution implemented by CMA allows the SUNY Research Foundation to more effectively analyze financial data and better manage their budget and operations. CMA continues to provide them with on-going maintenance and support.
